Chapter 74 A Pleasant Night
Chapter 74 A Pleasant Night
The spoon was brought to Sana's lips, then gently lifted. The salty and savory taste warmed her stomach and relieved most of the pain.
Sana Minatosaki clicked her tongue and said cautiously, with a hint of coquetry:
"It's a little hot~ Can you blow on it for me first?"
"How could that be?" Zheng Daoxun subconsciously wanted to try a bite himself, but he quickly realized his mistake and said irritably, "Then let it cool for a while. Eating something hot will damage your esophagus."
"Oh..." She frowned and puffed out her cheeks slightly, "But I'm hungry, and being hungry all the time will hurt my stomach."
Jung Do-hoon sighed softly, and with each subsequent puff, he gently blew on it a few times before bringing it to Minatozaki Sana's lips.
Unlike Mina, who had to wipe Sakazaki Sana's mouth with a tissue after only a few bites, his movements were so practiced, as if he had done it many times before.
Actually, a bowl of porridge wouldn't last long. Sana Minatozaki had a lot to say, but she was afraid of saying the wrong thing and ruining this precious atmosphere.
"Jung Do-hoon~"
"What's wrong?"
"Where did you buy this bowl of porridge... um..." Minatozaki Sana blinked and looked at the man who was intently feeding her porridge.
"There are small restaurants nearby that cater specifically to hospitals."
"Where exactly is it?"
"Go out of the south gate of the hospital and turn left for 50 meters."
"Does that store sell anything else?"
She could only talk about these safe but boring topics, but she listened with great interest, just like the bowl of porridge.
"We also sell sweet porridge, fried dumplings, stir-fried rice cakes..." he said, rattling off a long list while his hands kept moving. By the time he finished speaking, most of the porridge in the bowl had been gone.
Jung Do-hoon knew she wanted to find some less sensitive topics to prolong the time they could spend alone together while he fed her porridge, so he didn't expose her and just went along with it.
What's boring is never the topic, but the people chatting.
In another time and space, two people can chat for hours at the dinner table about how to wash broccoli when stir-frying it.
She really liked this atmosphere.
He knew his own ulterior motives, but he still silently cooperated.
In the dimly lit hospital room, the shadows outlined his handsome face. Looking at his serious and rambling manner, Minatozaki Sana couldn't help but raise the corners of her mouth.
"hey-hey……"
The spoon accidentally poked her lips, and the white porridge stuck to her lips, slowly sliding down.
Jung Do-hoon brought her a tissue, but she licked her lips, as if she wasn't just tasting the porridge, but rather breaking down the night into pieces and sprinkling it into the porridge as if it were sugar.
If moonlight shone into the ward, cicadas chirped through the window, and a summer breeze rustled through the banana trees outside the courtyard, what a pleasant night it would be.
"What are you grinning about?"
I won't tell you.
"I know even if you don't say it." Jung Do-hoon picked up his spoon. "Ah, the last few bites. That's all."
"Then tell me why?" she asked, her mouth full of porridge, her words muffled.
Everyone knows that Sana Minatozaki really enjoys the time he feeds her; she knows it herself, and Jung Do-hoon knows it too.
But she wanted to hear him say it himself.
"Are you good at acting cute?"
"Is this considered acting cute?" She widened her eyes slightly, then touched her stomach. "The price for acting cute is too high."
"Keep some snacks at home from now on, so people won't worry so much."
"So what kind of snacks do you like to eat?" Before Sana Minatozaki could finish asking, the hospital room door opened.
Mina, holding a coffee, pushed open a crack in the door and exclaimed, "Oh!"
"Should I not be here?"
Mina, you're asking a question you already know the answer to.
Sana Minato pouted with a hint of grievance, and while Jung Do-hoon was cleaning up the trash, she gave Mina a sharp, suggestive look.
Mina shrugged, seemingly unconcerned.
"Dahyun just called and asked why I wasn't answering my phone... Should I tell her the truth?"
"Let's not talk about it..." Sana Minatozaki thought for a moment, "I don't want to make too many people worry about me."
So you just want this man to worry about you, right?
— Mina’s gaze responded in this way, lingering on Jung Do-hoon for a moment.
"I couldn't hide it from her anymore, so I told her the truth, and she's already on her way."
Mina sat down on the edge of the bed, glanced at the IV drip that had been changed, and then looked at Jung Do-hoon. Their eyes met.
"Since your friends are all here, I won't stay any longer." Zheng Daoxun glanced down at his watch. "I'll head back now."
It's too late to keep them.
Sana Minatosaki sighed, watched him leave, and then gave Mina a resentful glance:
"Why did you ruin my plans!"
"I'm reminding you, he might not have gone far yet," Mina said, cutting off Sana Minato's words.
"You..." She pouted and lay back on the bed, as if all her strength had been drained.
"I've been waiting outside for a long time," Mina said, her words carrying a hidden meaning.
"Oh!" Sana Minatozaki blushed, tapping her chin with her free hand. "Should I thank you?"
"No need for thanks."
"Mina..." Minatozaki Sana gave her a resentful look.
"You're really good at acting cute, Sana-chan~" Mina patted Sana's thigh. "I have to go to work too. I can't keep you here all night."
That being said, but...
This is no excuse for interrupting their sweet moment, is it? Sana Minatozaki doesn't even know when she'll see Jung Do-hoon again.
Sana Minatozaki pouted, "I'm not that clueless!"
"So, it seems I'm the one who's superfluous tonight?"
That's right, that's it.
But Sana Minato couldn't bring herself to say it. After all, they had been friends for so many years. Mina had rushed over as soon as she heard that Sana was in the hospital. Even if it was a joke, this was going too far.
Speaking of visiting her... Dahyun will be here soon.
That's quite a big fuss.
If they hadn't cared so much about me, I wouldn't have known I was hospitalized. Is this a sweet trouble?
They're both my children, so to accuse them of being fickle and opportunistic would be too much of a betrayal. Sana Minatozaki is definitely not that kind of person.
She sighed: "This matter should only be discussed between you, me, and Duoxian. Don't let a fourth person know."
"I'm not a loudmouth who tells everyone that Sana Minatozaki forced herself to the point of being hospitalized in order to force Jung Do-hoon to meet her."
"Oh! Why are you saying that! I really didn't think that way." Sana Minatozaki scratched her hair in distress.
"Anyone with a modicum of intelligence would think that way, right?"
"Mina xi, I suspect you're being sarcastic, but I have no proof..."
Fortunately, when Zheng Daoxun walked out of the hospital, the ride-hailing platform already showed that a driver had accepted his order, and the destination of his previous order was right in front of the hospital.
But when the ride-hailing car stopped and the previous passenger opened the door, a familiar figure came into view.
