[Hot Post] I just finished watching the finale of "Ultraman Dyna" and my feelings are extremely complicated.
Let's start a thread and have a rational discussion about the plot of the last three episodes. No fighting, just pure discussion.

As the title.
The play has ended.
The moment the screen went black, I sat on the sofa in a daze for a long time.
I originally thought that after the success of "Ultraman Tiga", Gu Nan would give Dyna an extremely glorious and happy ending.
After all, Shin Asuka's carefree personality in the early stages seemed like the kind of character who would laugh and go eat barbecue with his teammates after defeating a monster.
The results of it?
Gulansfia was destroyed, but the solar system was saved, and the miracle light restored the planets that had been swallowed up.
But Shin Asuka is gone.
He was sucked into the black hole, leaving Gong Liang alone on the rooftop waiting for him.
My first reaction was anger; I felt like this was being forced to swallow a knife.
But after calming down and continuing to watch...
Especially the scene where Asuka catches up with Shinichi's Plasma Hundred Style in the Tunnel of Light at the end...
I also feel that this might be his most perfect ending.
I'm feeling really confused right now and would like to hear everyone's opinions.

My condolences to the original poster. My roommate cried like a baby while watching a tokusatsu drama and is still wiping her nose with tissues.
Don't mention Miyagi's laugh on the rooftop! That line, "A bird with an immortal body," killed me a million times more than if he'd just burst into tears!

Indeed, if Miyako had broken down in despair and cried at the end, I might have thought the drama had fallen into a cliché. But she smiled; she firmly believed that Asuka would return. This trust that transcends life and death is incredibly moving.

Many people say this is a complete tragedy, but I don't really agree.
Don't be limited by the surface-level "death." Did Shin Asuka really die? No.
The ending clearly explains that Asuka entered a dimension beyond time and space, transformed into light, and went to follow in his father's footsteps.
The theme of Ultraman Tiga is "the bond between light and humanity". Daigo eventually lost his transformation ability and lived as an ordinary human.
Dyna's theme, as revealed in the very first episode, is "the new era" and "exploring the unknown."
Xin Fei Niao has the blood of outward expansion flowing in his veins.
Letting him stay on Earth as a mascot would actually kill his role.
Disappearing into a black hole and venturing into the unknown depths of the universe—for an explorer, this is the ultimate form of romance.
[8th Floor: Little Fox Doesn't Want to Stay Up Late]
The analysis is reasonable, but it's still hard to accept emotionally.
What I'm more interested in is the internal conflict within TPC in these episodes.
What do you all think of Staff Officer Gondo?
Now everyone is praising Gondo as a true man, but I also saw comments criticizing him in the live chat, saying he was asking for trouble by creating an artificial Ultraman, which turned out to be Softia's synthetic beast, Gilganold.
If we have to assign blame, it was indeed his actions that led to the subsequent all-out attack by Sphia.
[10th floor: A gentle little bit of luck replies to the 8th floor]
The character of Advisor Gondo is the most well-developed in these episodes.
To label him as a villain directly is too superficial.
Put yourself in his shoes: facing the Gransfia, which can devour planets at will, and the endless stream of cosmic monsters, humanity's defenses are practically made of paper.
Tiga is gone, and Dyna's origins are unknown. Are we really putting the lives of billions of humanity on the shoulders of an uncontrollable alien giant? Any responsible high-ranking officer in the defense force would feel extreme fear and unease.
So he wants to implement "Plan F," he wants to create a god. Logically, there's nothing wrong with that.
His mistake was believing that Ultraman's power came from his enormous body and beam attacks. He didn't understand that the "heart" is the source of miracles. TerraNoid lacked willpower; once its mana bar was depleted, it became useless scrap metal—this was the fundamental reason for its failure.

So Gondo ultimately sacrificed his life to make amends.
When he learned that an ordinary person would surely die if they entered the converter, he did not hesitate. He drained himself dry and returned the light to the bird.
The statement, "If my life can bring about a better tomorrow for humanity, then that is my pride as a human being," filled me with awe.
All I can say is that Gondo is a real man!
He was a madman who went astray, but he was absolutely a true man, upright and honorable. He'd pay for his mistakes with his life.
[15th Floor: The poster is a cheerful netizen]
The person upstairs is right; Gu Nan's portrayal of human nature is becoming increasingly sophisticated.
Not only Gondo, but the bonds between the Super GUTS team members also reached their fullest point in the finale.
Captain Hibiki knew all along that Asuka was Dyna! This dramatic scene was incredibly touching!
[18th floor: I heard that if your name is long enough, something will be read along with it.]
Yes, yes, yes! That scene in the command center was absolutely brilliant!
This unconditional trust, this elder's tenderness for the younger generation, directly boosted the team's cohesion to the maximum!
And then there were the reactions of Chung Dao, Xing Xingtian, Kawamata, and Xin Guiya. Not one of them was afraid of Asuka; they all thought, "So that's how he is, that's just the kind of person he is." This kind of camaraderie is more exciting than any dazzling light showdown!
[23rd Floor: Pork bones simmered into soup]
Since we've come this far, we have to mention that man.
When Daigo appeared, I jumped right out of bed!
[Post #24: Anonymous user replies to Post #23]
One more! Not only Daigo, but Rena, Hikaru, and even Nozomi all made an appearance! The post-credits scene in the movie has finally come full circle!
[27th Floor: In-depth analysis of special effects]
The conversation between Daigo and Asuka at the Mars Ecological Park is the highlight of the entire series.
Asuka was confused. Faced with Gransphia, who could devour Pluto whole, he didn't know why he still had to fight.
At this point, Daigo didn't transform to help Dyna fight the monster. If Daigo had transformed, Dyna would never have truly grown up.
Daigo said, "Things that humans can solve themselves should definitely be solved by humans themselves!"
This statement is both a continuation of Tiga's spirit and an encouragement to Asuka. Daigo truly passed the baton of protecting the Earth to Asuka, or rather, to the new generation of humanity.
[32nd Floor: Baseball Pitcher]
Besides Daigo, Shinichima's role in connecting the characters shouldn't be overlooked either.
That childhood memory is so vivid in my mind.
"Because we are human!"
Why explore? Why face the fear of the unknown? Because humanity possesses the power to move forward.
The last beam of light emitted by the bird was not simply energy; it was the entirety of his will as the individual human being known as "Belief Bird."
That phrase, "I am who I am," was a stroke of genius. It doesn't represent a deity; it represents only himself, and the courage of humanity.
[Post #41: The poster's faded flash sword]
After seeing everyone talk about this for so long, I suddenly feel a little relieved.
Just like Daigo said, what does it matter if it's imperfect or has contradictions? As long as there are humans, there will be dreams.
Sphia's "perfection" of assimilating everything is nothing but stagnant water.
Although Asuka's ending seems bittersweet, it is indeed the best answer that aligns with the theme of the "New Era."
[Floor 45: Red, Blue, and Silver Starlight]
[Image: Dyna stands shoulder to shoulder with Kurak in front of the black hole.jpg]
I've set this picture as my desktop background.
The bird didn't die; it simply went further than any of us, exploring the deeper reaches of the cosmos.
One day, human technology will catch up with his.
Just as Gong Liang firmly believed, he would definitely come back.
[Floor 48: Egg Boy Passing By]
"Right now, all I want to do is protect you!"
That line he shouted was practically the ultimate, deadly strike from the God of Pure Love!
[Post #50: The Sugar-Loving Squad replies to Post #48]
What?! The conversation before boarding the plane at the Mars base!
Gong Liang went straight for it! "To build an ordinary family, to tell my loved one to come home soon..."
The birds were completely dumbfounded.
These two are a true match made in heaven; there are no melodramatic misunderstandings or convoluted plots, only unwavering trust and a willingness to risk everything for each other. This kind of romance surpasses 90% of the idol dramas on the market!
[55th floor: Staying up all night to catch up on dramas]
Just a quick question: when Asuka was finally sucked into the black hole, why didn't she use some kind of miraculous teleportation to escape?
[Post #57: Physics dunce replies to Post #55]
Didn't Kawamai report data in the show?
After Gulansfia was destroyed, its central core experienced an extremely massive gravitational collapse, causing spacetime to become extremely distorted.
Gravity spiraled out of control to the point that even light couldn't escape.
Miracle-type teleportation is merely a movement at the speed of light, Mach 88. At the center of a collapsing black hole, the rules of space have been shattered into dust and are completely unusable.
He got too close in his attempt to deliver the decisive blow. That was a fatal distance.
[62nd Floor: Veteran Tokusatsu Fan]
Let's summarize.
At first, watching "Dyna" was just for fun; in the middle, the bonds between the team members made it seem like an ensemble drama; and in the later stages, with its grand narrative and human reflections, we realized that Gu Nan had truly served us a grand feast.
Although it's not a grand, idealistic explosion like Ultraman Tiga where all of humanity transforms into light, it still evokes just as much emotion in us. It portrays humanity's struggles, mistakes, reflections, and ultimate resistance in the face of ultimate fear.
Humans are no longer passive recipients of protection. The sight of ordinary people on Earth humming "I Just Want to Protect You" in the darkness is itself an awakening of faith.
Shin Asuka sacrificed himself for the rebirth of the solar system; this is the most tragic yet greatest epic of the new era.
[65th Floor: The Update-Pressing Maniac]
But I'm still emotionally devastated!
What's that old scoundrel Gu's next movie?! He absolutely has to make a big-budget film to bring Fei Niao back! Otherwise, I'll bombard him with criticism on the forums every day!
Yes, while we can understand the artistic merit of this ending, who wouldn't want to see Asuka and Ryo reunite under the sunset?
The Ultra Universe that Gu Nan is building is getting bigger and bigger.
From Ultraman Tiga to Dyna, the worldview is perfectly connected, and the theme is constantly being elevated.
We don't know what miracles he will bring us next.
As time went on, the thread on the Zhihu forum for tokusatsu (special effects) grew longer and longer.
From initial shock and confusion about the ending, to in-depth analysis of the characters' motivations, and finally to deconstructing and resonating with the core themes of the entire series.
The online discussion did not stop at simple "good or bad" or "death or life".
They began to analyze the lines hidden behind the special effects in the storyline.
Daigo's teachings, Gondo's obsession, Kibi Gosuke's tolerance, Miyako's perseverance, and Shin Asuka's resounding cry that echoed throughout the universe, "I am Dyna!"
In this parallel world, thanks to the airing of the final episode of "Dyna," the tokusatsu drama completely dispelled the last shred of doubt about Gu Nan's abilities.
It explores the direction of human evolution, the boundaries of technology, and the true meaning of courage to all viewers in an extremely cruel yet infinitely romantic way.
The comments complaining about the imperfect ending were gradually replaced by a deeper sense of emotion.
Although the birds are gone, we must still move forward, because we are human beings.
I hope to see that red, blue, and silver light again in the future starry sky.
Thank you, Dyna. Thank you, Gu Nan.
At this moment, Ultraman Dyna has achieved its ultimate legendary status in terms of reputation.
And the stories about light, about the heroes who fly towards tomorrow, have reached an unprecedented peak in terms of discussion in this world.
