Chapter 61 Mind Your Own Business When It's a Girl's Business
Chapter 61 Mind Your Own Business When It's a Girl's Business
"Bad but Good" is MissA's debut album released in 2010. It was the starting point for idol Suzy, and also the path this woman has taken.
At the time, Jung Do-hoon, who was only twelve years old, probably couldn't have imagined that one day he would be asked this question by a girl on the screen.
It feels like so long ago that I was twelve...
Zheng Daoxun put down his bowl. It is said that one is obligated to accept gifts and food, especially since she was sitting in front of him with a smile on her face.
Time seemed to stand still on Bae Suzy's fair and delicate face.
"Pfft..." Bae Suzy covered her mouth and chuckled. "Why are you taking it so seriously? I was just joking. How could I possibly argue with a junior trainee about this?"
"If Ya-Hsien is my perfect score of 100, then Suzy is undoubtedly S+."
Joking aside, I still have to answer, otherwise Suzy will lose face.
Suddenly being called upon, Ya-Hsien winked at Jung Do-Hoon without saying a word.
"What a well-chosen, non-offending answer," Bae Suzy lightly punched Jung Do-hoon's arm. "So, in your eyes, would Fang Zhimin be ranked in the top tier?"
Jung Do-hoon's little scheme was exposed, but there was nothing to be embarrassed about. He smiled honestly in response.
Bae Soo-ji didn't plan to stay any longer. She had only decided to visit Ya-hsien on a whim, and as it turned out, she not only got along well with Ya-hsien, but also gained some unexpected benefits.
Jung Do-hoon got up and escorted her downstairs. Bae Soo-ji did not refuse, but simply carried her bag and walked silently with him to the roadside.
"That's enough for now, I'll take a taxi home."
"Why go through all that trouble? I'll drive you..." Jung Do-hoon said, but his forehead was poked by Soo-ji's slender white fingers.
"Pabu, you've been drinking, why are you driving me home?"
Zheng Daoxun was taken aback for a moment; he was also momentarily confused, and smiled:
"It seems that Suzy's hangover soup wasn't very effective. I'm still a bit tipsy."
"Weren't you perfectly sober when you complimented me on my looks?" Bae Suzy tapped her toes, glancing at Jung Do-hoon out of the corner of her eye. "Your scent today... is quite mixed."
"The Latin American perfume was applied quite heavily, and it got on my skin."
"Really?" Bae Suzy smiled gently, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear, and didn't dwell on the topic. "I had a heart-to-heart talk with Ya-Hsien today."
"Looks like the result was pretty good?" Zheng Daoxun could sense that Ya Xian seemed to be interested in the woman beside him...
To be precise, it's that his female friends don't have as many objections anymore.
"A partial victory!" Suzy flashed a peace sign, smiled sweetly, and got into the taxi. "Bye-bye!"
Jung Do-hoon hasn't asked her how she did it yet.
He shrugged helplessly, waved to the departing taxi, and returned home with a smile. By then, Ya Xian was already standing on one leg by the sink, helping him wash the bowl he had used.
"I'll take care of it," Zheng Daoxun said worriedly as he helped Ya Xian up.
Ya Xian shook her head: "Oppa, I just sprained my ankle, I can still wash the dishes..."
"What if she slips and falls again if the floor gets wet?" Jung Do-hoon put his arm around Ya-hsien's shoulder and led her to the sofa. "Have you taken a shower?"
"not yet."
"Then I'll help you pour the bathwater after I finish washing the dishes." Zheng Daoxun turned to go back, but was stopped by Ya Xian.
"Oppa?"
"Um?"
Ya Xian rubbed her hair and said softly, "It's nothing... I just wanted to say thank you. Actually, you don't need to worry about me being lonely at home alone and have someone come and keep me company."
This is what Bae Suzy said to Ya-Hsien?
Jung Do-hoon chuckled to himself. Why didn't Ya-hsien react this way when Hwang Li-chi came to visit her?
He began to wonder about Bae Suzy. How did she manage to do that?
"Then I'll try to spend more time with you in the future." Jung Do-hoon smiled, feeling much more relaxed.
"No need, no need! You're an adult now, you have your own life... You don't need to worry about me too much." Ya Xian waved her hand.
Jung Do-hoon opened his mouth slightly, his heart filled with nothing but admiration for Soo-ji.
"If you want to compliment Suzy on her beauty, just say so directly. There's no need to go on and on. I... I probably put too much pressure on you before, didn't I?"
"How could that be?" Jung Do-hoon stepped forward and ruffled his sister's hair. "I'm your oppa, and I'm not a jerk. Ya-hsien, you're so cute, it's okay to use you as a benchmark for beauty, right?"
"Your evaluation system is quite diverse~" Ya Xian lay on the sofa and gently kicked Zheng Daoxun's thigh with her foot.
Of course, I was just kidding.
A, B, C, D, ABCD, 100 points, 80 points...
Speak to people in a way that suits them; that's the nature of a diplomat.
Zheng Daoxun shrugged and turned to wash the dishes: "Ya Xian..."
"Um?"
"What did you and Suzy talk about?"
"Don't pry into what girls do," Ya Xian said, glancing at Zheng Daoxun with a complicated expression.
"Ya Xian, huh..."
"Um?"
"The bathwater is ready."
"Aren't you going to help me inside?" Ya-xian shook her still-injured foot.
It was described as a sprain, but it was actually more serious; otherwise, it wouldn't have warranted a few months of leave at home.
"Isn't that a bad idea? I'd better stay out of girls' business."
"Go to hell!" Ya-Hsien cursed in Chinese.
"Zheng Yaxian," Zheng Daoxun also used Chinese, "Could you please learn some polite language?"
"This is already very civilized!"
Zheng Daoxun waited outside the bathroom until Ya Xian had finished washing. He then helped Ya Xian, who was wrapped in a long bath towel, back to her room. Ya Xian's wet hair hung down and draped over his arm.
His gaze drifted upwards, deliberately avoiding looking at Ya Xian: "I'll bring the hairdryer in for you later."
"Can't you blow-dry my hair?"
"Didn't you tell me to mind my own business with girls?" Jung Do-hoon joked.
In response, Ya Xian clenched her fist and waved it in the air.
After drying his hair, Jung Do-hoon touched Ya-hsien's fluffy, soft hair and said, "Goodnight."
"Sweet dreams too," Ya-Hsien replied in Chinese, muttering softly before burrowing under the covers.
Jung Do-hoon turned off the lights and returned to his solitary state.
The mood that had improved because of Suzy and Ya-hsien was inevitably dampened again by Minatozaki Sana.
"Put her matter aside for now," Jung Do-hoon told himself. He took a shower, lay down on the bed, and fell into a deep sleep.
My phone vibrated on the bedside table; I had received two messages.
【Sana Minatozaki: Goodnight.】
[Xueyun: Secretary Dohoon, we have finished our book signing event in Thailand and just landed in Incheon. Thank you for your help in Indonesia!]
"Yoona! You've gotten off the plane, why are you staring at your phone like that?" The manager glanced back and saw Seol-Yoon holding her phone with both hands, looking ready for anything.
"Huh?" Xueyun was a beat slow to react and put away her phone. "I just sent a message to Secretary Dohoon. We're finally back in Korea."
"Oh, alright. One should be polite. Next time you see him in person, take the members to thank him in person."
"Huh? In person?" The girl blinked, looking confused and a little nervous.
She spent a long time carefully choosing her words just to send a text message to Zheng Daoxun.
Although in the end I only sent a very ordinary text message, without any fancy words.
"Yeah, I guess we'll be meeting soon, right?"
