Chapter 19 New Friends

Chapter 19 New Friends

In the blink of an eye, it was dusk.

Viktor followed Nina out of the college gates and then walked along the commercial street, finally stopping in front of a restaurant.

The restaurant is called "Wizard's House," which sounds grand, but it seems to be quite popular, or at least well-regarded by the wizarding community. So, surprisingly, most of the people coming and going here are wizards.

Nina must have been here more than once or twice. She led Victor into the store with ease, and after walking a few steps down the corridor, she pushed open the door of a private room and stepped inside.

Viktor followed closely behind, glancing into the private room and noticing that there were already several people inside.

"Everyone arrived very early."

Nina had already started to greet them.

The people in the room naturally turned their gazes to her, then glanced at Victor behind him, all showing a hint of curiosity.

A witch apprentice spoke:

"You're too late, Nina... You said five o'clock, why are you only coming now?"

"this......"

Nina gave an embarrassed smile:

"As you know, sometimes I'm not in control of my own time... so it took a little longer."

"But it's alright, I'll treat you tonight as an apology!"

Another male apprentice with red hair, however, turned his gaze to Victor and asked curiously:

"Nina, who is this person behind you?"

"You mean Viktor? He's my junior from school."

Nina replied, seemingly indifferently:

"He's a new apprentice chosen by Master Manuggus... He not only shows great potential in magical cultivation, but his talent in alchemy is also remarkable!"

"Furthermore, he has awakened a special bloodline... However, he is still just a new apprentice and doesn't understand many things, so I brought him here to see for himself..."

"I see."

A look of realization flashed across everyone's eyes. They weren't fools; they all understood what Nina meant.

Her meaning was clear: this apprentice named Victor was a very promising apprentice, and she was very close to him, which was why she brought him to this gathering.

Since that's the case, they'll give Nina some face. As for whether this new apprentice named Victor is qualified to join their circle or become their friend, that will naturally depend on his performance...

"By the way, Viktor, let me introduce you to these friends!"

Nina didn't forget to introduce Viktor, first raising her hand to introduce the man and woman to her right:

"They are Lina and Karian..."

"This beautiful Lina is a path of elemental wizardry, skilled in various elemental spells, and also creates elemental spell scrolls. You can contact her if you need them."

"Karrian is more skilled in death magic, but he's more of a researcher. You can ask him if you have any related questions."

Viktor looked at the two of them and gave a slight bow:

"It's a pleasure to meet you both. My name is Victor."

The female apprentice, Lina, was a stunning beauty, dressed in a fiery red wizard's robe. Her eyes were quite fierce, and she seemed to be the type who cared a lot about her image. Therefore, her first impression of the equally handsome Victor was quite good, and she replied with a smile:

"It's a pleasure to meet you too... Victor."

As for the other male apprentice named Karian, he also fits the stereotype of a death wizard: taciturn.

When Viktor greeted her, she simply nodded without saying a word... or perhaps she simply didn't want to talk to him. In any case, Viktor assumed she was just a quiet person.

Next, Nina introduced a man and a woman sitting on the other side. First, there was the female apprentice who had just asked Nina why she was late:

"This girl's name is Hailey, and she's particularly skilled in water elemental magic and alchemy..."

"And there's Vladimir. He's a member of the Dracula family, so he's skilled in their family's blood magic... Didn't you also learn a blood shield spell? If there's anything you don't understand, you can ask him."

Viktor couldn't help but look at Vladimir, a man with red hair and an effeminate appearance. Vladimir was also looking at him and asked with some surprise:

"You actually learned the Blood Shield Technique?"

"Yes."

Victor nodded.

Vladimir slightly raised his chin, a smile playing on his lips:

"Interesting, interesting... Alright, since she's Nina's friend, she's my friend, Vladimir's friend."

"I also know a bit about Blood Shield. If there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask me. I'll answer whatever I know."

Viktor's eyes lit up:

"Really?"

"Thank you so much, senior!"

Vladimir raised his glass of red wine, gestured to Viktor, and then drank it all in one gulp.

"Alright, sit down first, Victor."

After the introductions were completed and no one showed any obvious resistance, Nina knew that Victor had been temporarily granted permission to enter this small circle.

While it can't be called recognition, since there is still a significant gap in strength, as long as Viktor can realize his potential, he will eventually gain recognition.

That's all she has to do.

Bringing Viktor here was already an investment of favors. Whether he can gain a foothold in this small circle and be recognized by others is up to him, and she can't help him too much.

......

Viktor sat down obediently and began to listen to their conversation.

No one bothered to hide their thoughts just because he was there.

So Victor quickly understood that they were discussing preparations needed for exploring the astral plane.

Victor knew very little about the Astral Plane, having only heard some information from Nina, and hadn't had time to specifically look up related books afterward, so he was listening with great interest.

However, from the conversations among the group, Victor unexpectedly discovered that this small circle was actually formed around the taciturn 'Karrian'.

Although he is indeed not very talkative and rarely offers his own opinions.

But as soon as he spoke, the others quickly reached the same opinion as him... Victor silently marked him in his mind.

After the discussion on this matter was finished, the atmosphere in the room immediately relaxed.

Then Victor heard shocking news: the female apprentice named Hayley and Vladimir were actually a rare wizard couple... and were even getting married!

This was truly hard for Victor to imagine. After all, given the cold and rational nature of wizards, being able to become lovers was enough to prove that the two were special. Now they were actually going to have a wedding... Could it be that there is also great love in this wizarding world?

Then Viktor realized he had been overthinking things. Their relationship wasn't exactly sweet and loving; they were practically strangers.

It was indeed a cold and emotionless family marriage... This made Viktor breathe a sigh of relief. Thank goodness it wasn't true love, or his worldview would have collapsed.
