Chapter 63 Yang Ying Leaves
The vows of the bet were still ringing in her ears when, the next day, Mao Xiaoyu received a bolt from the blue.
Yang Ying is leaving today.
Honestly, when Mao Xiaoyu opened her eyes early in the morning and saw the QQ message from Yang Ying saying "I'm leaving today," she thought Yang Ying was joking.
After all, we agreed to leave in August, so how could we just leave like that?
Only after Mao Xiaoyu sent a message to confirm it several times did she realize that the message was real.
According to Yang Ying:
Yesterday, while Yang Ying was out rescuing people, her mother called, wanting to see her. In the end, her grandmother answered the phone. It turned out that Yang Ying's company in Hong Kong needed her to go back for training as soon as possible.
As for why this is the case?
Since Yang Ying is now 16 years old, she needs to take on more activities than when she was 14. The company can't afford to keep someone idle, so they are preparing to give her some training to help her get used to magazine covers and TV station invitations. They will then try to push her out into the world and let her take on more work.
Because of this, Yang Ying's rest time was directly compressed, and she was required to return to Hong Kong today and receive training tomorrow.
Mao Xiaoyu didn't know what to say about this. After all, everyone has their own social circle, and sometimes people will listen to you just because you object.
Fortunately, the flight to Hong Kong was at around 3 p.m., and since Yang Ying's grandmother couldn't travel too much, the task of taking Yang Ying to the airport naturally fell to Mao Xiaoyu.
Because she was worried that Mao Xiaoyu wouldn't be able to get the person out in the afternoon, Yang Ying kindly asked on QQ if she needed help, so that the two of them could get more people out in the morning and go to the airport together in the afternoon.
Mao Xiaoyu responded that it wasn't necessary, and that she would take the day off. She said she would go to the house in the morning to register the tenants, then come over to keep her company, and see her off at the airport in the afternoon.
With the arrangements finalized, Mao Xiaoyu rushed to the hospital to register briefly, and then went to Yang Ying's maternal grandmother's house.
"Hello, Grandma."
Upon seeing Yang Ying's grandmother open the door, Mao Xiaoyu greeted her warmly. To avoid being impolite, Mao Xiaoyu also bought some fruit for Yang Ying's grandmother to eat.
"Oh, it's Xiao Mao! Come in, please. Yang Ying and I are busy making lunch. You should eat lunch early so you can go to the airport soon and catch your flight. I also want to thank you for taking Yang Ying to the airport this time. Otherwise, I would have been really worried about letting this little girl go to the airport alone." Yang Ying's grandmother said as she invited Mao Xiaoyu in.
Mao Xiaoyu had just walked in and placed the fruit she was carrying on the table. Hearing what Yang Ying's grandmother said, she couldn't help but wonder if Yang Ying could cook.
"Look at you, why did you buy fruit when you got here? Sit down, I want Yang Ying to come out and keep you company for a bit. I'll go to the kitchen and cook a couple of dishes for lunch, just something simple." Yang Ying's grandmother invited with a big smile when she saw Mao Xiaoyu standing there.
"It's alright, it's alright, I know, thank you Grandma." Mao Xiaoyu said as she sat down, and then she saw Yang Ying's grandma go to the kitchen. A little while later, Yang Ying came out of the kitchen.
"You can cook?" Mao Xiaoyu looked into the kitchen and, not seeing Yang Ying's grandmother come out, asked in a low voice.
Yang Ying blushed and shook her head: "I only know how to wash it. My grandma does the cooking. If I were to cook, I probably could only make one or two dishes, and they wouldn't taste very good."
Then Yang Ying secretly glanced at the kitchen and felt that if the two of them were talking in the living room, their grandmother might hear them, so she secretly pulled Mao Xiaoyu into her room.
Unexpectedly, I didn't go into the room yesterday, but this time I actually did!
However, Mao Xiaoyu was slightly disappointed after entering Yang Ying's room.
Yang Ying's room was pretty much the same as any other room, and it didn't have much of a girlish feel. Compared to a boy's room, it only had a little fragrance, which smelled nice. It was nothing like the princess room she had imagined.
"Oh, why are you leaving? This is so sudden. I thought we could stay together for another month or two." After entering the room, Mao Xiaoyu pretended to be reluctant to leave.
"I can't do anything about it. I've already signed with the company, and I have to follow their arrangements. Otherwise, I'll be fined a lot for breach of contract," Yang Ying said helplessly after hearing Mao Xiaoyu's words.
This situation is also not good for Yang Ying, since she has only been back for 10 to 2 weeks and has to go back, meaning the travel expenses have been wasted.
You know, airfares from Shanghai to Hong Kong aren't cheap these days, and this round trip is making Yang Ying's heart ache.
However, this was an order from the company, and as an employee, I could only follow the company's arrangements. At most, I could only wonder if the company would reimburse my return airfare if I went back this time.
"Sigh, what a worry. I don't know when we'll see each other again after this trip. I wonder if he'll even remember me next time we meet?" Mao Xiaoyu said, feigning sadness.
It's not that Mao Xiaoyu likes Yang Ying that much, after all, Yang Ying's appearance is really just average right now. The problem is that they've only just started dating, and their feelings for each other aren't that deep yet.
Mao Xiaoyu had originally thought Yang Ying's vacation would last until August, and she was planning to spend a month or two deepening their relationship. Now, one phone call had ruined everything. And now that they were separated, they might end up as strangers when they met again.
Mao Xiaoyu was heartbroken that the delicious meat she was about to eat was slipped away so easily!
Seeing someone so sad, Yang Ying was also a little moved. She gently hugged Mao Xiaoyu and said, "How could I forget you? You're my best friend. Besides, I even brought the USB drive with the photos you took of me. I'll look at them often in the future."
"I'll look at your photos often too. Remember, wait for me. I'll definitely come to Hong Kong to find you in a year." Seeing that Yang Ying was already hugging her, Mao Xiaoyu didn't stand on ceremony and hugged Yang Ying's waist directly, whispering affectionately in Yang Ying's ear.
"Okay," Yang Ying replied.
"Sigh, I didn't know you were leaving today. If I had known you were leaving in such a hurry, I would have bought you a gift. But now I don't dare to buy a gift randomly, because you're going to Hong Kong next. I don't know what gift would be suitable. I also know that some things can't be taken on the plane. Even if I did, they might be confiscated at Hong Kong customs, which would be pointless." Mao Xiaoyu said, pretending to be concerned for you.
"I don't want any gifts. You don't earn money easily, and you even made a bet with me that whoever is the first to earn 100 million has to grant the other a request. And the thing you should be doing right now is earning 100 million." Yang Ying nestled in Mao Xiaoyu's arms and gently shook her head as she spoke.
"How much money can a gift cost? That's just small change. You don't think I'm broke, do you? I have much more money than you think," Mao Xiaoyu said in a low voice, trying to sound cool.
"Even if you have a lot of money, let's talk about it when you've earned a hundred million." Yang Ying looked up and rolled her eyes at Mao Xiaoyu.
"Okay, okay, I'll earn a hundred million as soon as possible," Mao Xiaoyu said dismissively.
'
'
"
Then Mao Xiaoyu coaxed Yang Ying like a child, saying sweet words to make her happy, until Yang Ying's grandmother called them to dinner. Only then did the two reluctantly leave Yang Ying's room.
Then the three of them had a cozy brunch. After finishing the meal, Yang Ying began packing her personal belongings.
Mao Xiaoyu originally wanted to watch Yang Ying pack her personal belongings, but many of these were women's personal items, so how could Yang Ying let Mao Xiaoyu see them? In the end, Mao Xiaoyu was pushed out.
Mao Xiaoyu had no choice but to awkwardly chat with Yang Ying's grandmother in the living room.
Only after Yang Ying had packed all her things did she come out with two bags, followed by a touching farewell.
It wasn't a matter of life and death, yet Yang Ying and her grandmother were crying with tears in their eyes.
Even Mao Xiaoyu couldn't help but sigh, "This grandmother and granddaughter have such a good relationship!"
Of course, the time apart is always short, and no matter how reluctant you are to part, time waits for no one.
In the end, Yang Ying's grandmother accompanied the two to the intersection and watched Mao Xiaoyu and Yang Ying head towards the subway station before going home.
Mao Xiaoyu originally wanted to take a taxi to the airport, but after calculating the time, she realized that it would take at least two hours to get there by taxi.
If you take the subway, it will only take an hour. No matter how you calculate the time, taking the subway is more cost-effective.
Therefore, they decided to take the subway to the airport with Yang Ying.
"See, I asked you to take me to the airport at noon, now I can't do my business at noon."
After walking for about ten minutes, the two arrived at the subway station. After buying two tickets, they followed the crowd onto the subway. Luckily, there weren't too many people at the time, and the two quickly found seats and sat down. Then, Yang Ying was heard complaining softly.
"It's okay, we won't lose much money. After all, there are still some tenants who haven't left. So what if we lose a few tenants today?"
Is this little bit of money less than what you have?
If losing just a little bit of money each day could keep you here, I'd rather earn a few hundred dollars less each day to keep you. After all, you're priceless to me.
To deepen her impression on Yang Ying, Mao Xiaoyu said a whole bunch of sweet nothings today.
"Don't say such disgusting things, okay? It's giving me goosebumps." Yang Ying said, pretending to be happy as she touched her arm.
-
"Are you cold? Is the air conditioning on the subway too low? Come here, let me hug you. I have a lot of yang energy, so I can keep you warm." As Mao Xiaoyu said this, she hugged Yang Ying tightly and pulled her into her arms.
Suddenly embraced by Mao Xiaoyu, Yang Ying struggled slightly, but seeing that Mao Xiaoyu didn't let go, she stopped struggling and leaned straight against Mao Xiaoyu, feeling her breath.
"Remember me, you must remember me!" Yang Ying whispered.
"Of course, I could never forget Yang Ying!" Mao Xiaoyu said gently, inhaling the fragrance emanating from Yang Ying's hair.
The two sat embracing in the subway, not saying a word, silently absorbing the bustling crowd and their relationship.
But you have to take the subway to your destination eventually. After an hour, we finally arrived at Hongqiao International Airport.
What followed was a flurry of activity. Fortunately, the people in Hong Kong, worried that Yang Ying might not be able to book a flight, had already booked one for her; otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to leave today.
It wasn't until after 2 p.m. that the two of them finally arrived at the gate where Yang Ying's plane was boarding.
"Good afternoon, passengers. The flight from Shanghai to Hong Kong is ready to begin boarding. Please collect your luggage. We are about to proceed with boarding."
Because it was a direct flight, they needed to board early, so after arriving at the gate, they only waited for about 20 minutes before an announcement came over the loudspeaker asking them to show their tickets and enter the station.

"Let's go, I'll see you off one last time." Mao Xiaoyu stood up, picked up Yang Ying's luggage, and said.
Yang Ying, like a dutiful wife, dragged her suitcase and followed Mao Xiaoyu to the testing station.
Because there were still many passengers arriving one after another, and Mao Xiaoyu and Yang Ying didn't want to have their tickets checked so early, by the time Yang Ying had her ticket checked, 95% of the passengers had already gone in. After Yang Ying's ticket was checked, there were hardly any passengers left at the station entrance.
"Goodbye. If you don't come back next year, I'll come to Hong Kong to find you." Mao Xiaoyu said earnestly as she handed her luggage to Yang Ying.
Yang Ying looked up at Mao Xiaoyu, her expression somewhat dazed. Suddenly, she hugged Mao Xiaoyu tightly, then kissed her hard on the lips. With a heavy heart, she turned and left.
Mao Xiaoyu touched her lips, savoring the moment. It seemed like nothing special, no different from kissing other girls. But she had only pretended to be affectionate for a while, so she had still managed to get a taste of what she had got.
Watching Yang Ying drag her luggage inside, Mao Xiaoyu exclaimed indignantly, "That kiss was too light! You should have given me a French kiss!"
Yang Ying was walking normally until she heard Mao Xiaoyu's words. She stumbled and almost fell. She turned around, glared at Mao Xiaoyu, and hurriedly ran away.
"goodbye."
Watching Yang Ying disappear, Mao Xiaoyu raised her hand, waved, and called out again.
When Yang Ying was no longer in sight, Mao Xiaoyu sighed, then turned around and prepared to leave.
As he walked out, he kept thinking, "It's past three o'clock now. It'll take more than an hour to get back to the hospital. I should be there by four or five o'clock. I wonder if I can get a few more patients to fill the gaps for today. After all, empty beds are money!"
As for Yang Ying, what the hell is that?
