My Beasts Grind Proficiency For Me

Chapter 366 - 225: Cultivation Technique in Hand

Chapter 366 - 225: Cultivation Technique in Hand

Yang Jing gazed at the skeleton. This senior from the Nine Yang Sect must have been ambushed by a Celestial Demon while cultivating. All his flesh and blood had been stolen by the demon, leaving only a skeleton behind.

Otherwise, with his Body Refining Cultivation, his flesh and blood should have remained intact even after a thousand years.

Low-level Celestial Demons would have their souls scattered by a single touch of the Pure Yang True Gang. Even High Tier Celestial Demons found it utterly repulsive.

It was the intimidating presence of these remains that kept the Low-level Celestial Demons from ransacking the entire Cave Mansion.

Yang Jing could even guess that the one who had succeeded in the surprise attack back then was likely a Profound Yin Blood Demon, equivalent to the Nascent Soul Realm.

Only a Blood Demon of that Realm could instantly strip the flesh from a Body Refining Cultivator with a Golden Core True Yang Body without being burned to death by the Pure Yang True Gang contained within.

He carefully collected the skeleton, planning to find a proper burial place for it once the Demon Realm was completely pacified.

After putting away the skeleton, Yang Jing turned his attention to the Jade Scrolls on the bookshelf.

’The Refining God Technique I’ve been searching so hard for should be among these Jade Scrolls.’

He circulated his Celestial True Gang, cleansing all the Jade Scrolls, before finally picking one up.

Reading a Jade Scroll required one to probe it with their Divine Sense, a moment of vulnerability that Celestial Demons could easily exploit. That was why, despite the Pure Yang True Gang emanating from the skeleton, he still insisted on cleansing them with his own Celestial True Gang to prevent any demons from lying in ambush.

The first Jade Scroll contained a Spear Technique called the Nine Yang Demon-Vibrating Spear. It was a technique created specifically for the True Yang Body and was immensely powerful.

Though not quite as powerful as the Flying Thunder Demon-Slaying Spear, its true strength lay in its superior compatibility with the Pure Yang Body.

Yang Jing put the Jade Scroll away. ’If the Nine Yang Sect still existed, only True Disciples would be qualified to practice this Spear Technique.’

He picked up the second Jade Scroll and discovered that it recorded this Golden Core Cultivator’s various insights from his time practicing the True Yang Body. It also contained a significant section describing the Three Body Refining Gates.

Satisfied, Yang Jing stored the Jade Scroll, planning to study it carefully later.

The next few Jade Scrolls were just some travelogues and personal notes from Nine Yang Sect cultivators, of little value.

After storing them, Yang Jing’s gaze fell upon the final two Jade Scrolls. He had intentionally saved them for last, as they were both golden—the kind used to record a Sect’s core legacy.

’If the Five Dragons Hibernation Scripture is really in this Cave Mansion, it has to be in one of these two golden Jade Scrolls.’

The first Jade Scroll brought him an immense surprise—it was the complete version of the True Yang Body technique, covering everything from Qi Cultivation to Divinity Transformation without omission.

With this Jade Scroll, he no longer had to worry about how he would obtain the True Yang Body technique from the Supreme Profound Upper Yang Sect.

The second Jade Scroll contained the very Five Dragons Hibernation Scripture that Yang Jing had been so desperately seeking.

Yang Jing was overjoyed. During his Magical Combat with the Other-Transformed Self-Free Celestial Demon, he had been repeatedly troubled by its Demon Sound. Now, with the Five Dragons Hibernation Scripture, his Three Treasures of Essence, Qi, and Spiritual would advance in unison, leaving him with no more weaknesses.

He was even happier to have obtained these two Jade Scrolls than if he had obtained a Magical Treasure.

Thanks to the enhancement of his innate Talents, the boost to his Power from ordinary external items was already quite limited.

Leaving the main hall, Yang Jing went to check a few other chambers and unexpectedly discovered a Fire Room. Inside was a Pill Furnace, but it had lost all its Spiritual Qi under the corrosion of Demonic Qi, turning it into useless scrap.

On the ground before the Pill Furnace lay two skeletons, both less than four feet tall. They must have been the Child attendants who served this Golden Core Cultivator. Their cultivation was far too low; their bones had decayed under the corrosion of the Demonic Qi, ready to crumble at the slightest touch.

With a sweep of his Yang Qi, Yang Jing dispersed the Demonic Qi from the skeletons and collected the remains into his Storage Bag. As he did, he discovered a Jade Scroll pinned beneath one of the bodies.

After cleansing it with his Celestial True Gang, he used his Magical Power to lift the Jade Scroll and found that it contained a Pill Book.

"Pure Yang Pill Scripture."

This Pill Book recorded more than twenty types of Elixirs for True Yang Body cultivators to consume, all of them Tier Two to Tier Three Pill Formulas.

These Pill Formulas all required the Yang Fire generated by a True Yang Body to perform Alchemy, making them perfect for Iron Head to study. Several of the Spirit Pills could even assist a Body Refining Cultivator in passing the Three Body Refining Gates.

The Body Refining Skill had long been in decline in the Nine Heavens World, and Body Refining Pill Formulas were far rarer than Qi Cultivation Pill Formulas. To obtain so many practical formulas was a massive windfall.

Yang Jing then checked the Pill Bottles scattered on the ground one by one. He found that under the corrosion of Demonic Qi, the Elixirs inside had long ago rotted into mud.

He didn’t mind. ’I would never dare to rashly consume something like an Elixir, even if it looked perfectly intact.’

Having obtained several useful Jade Scrolls, Yang Jing was already very satisfied.

He gracefully exited the Fire Room and arrived at the entrance hall, next to the Demon-Catching Tripod.

"Anything unusual?"

Yang Jing asked.

The Wanhua Child emerged from the tripod, clinging to the rim and climbing onto one of its ears.

"Master, nothing is out of the ordinary."

He had been guarding the entrance hall the whole time and hadn’t detected any sign of Celestial Demons.

Yang Jing nodded. He was just about to leave the Cave Mansion and inspect its surroundings when Kuang Shuli happened to emerge from one of the chambers.

"Minister Yang, I found a Flying Sword in this chamber!"

His face was full of joy. Holding the Flying Sword with both hands, he was about to present it for Yang Jing to inspect.

Just as Kuang Shuli came within seven steps, the Flying Sword he was holding suddenly struck out like a viper’s tongue, transforming into a streak of black Sword Light and thrusting straight at Yang Jing.

But Yang Jing was prepared. He reached out and snatched the incoming Flying Sword from the air.

He squeezed hard, and under his immense strength, the Flying Sword snapped in two with a mournful cry.

Seeing this, Kuang Shuli’s eyes widened so much they nearly popped out of their sockets.

In the next instant, with a flash of lightning, Yang Jing vanished from his spot. However, he didn’t teleport in front of Kuang Shuli, but instead outside the Cave Mansion.

Gazing at the Demon Array that had suddenly appeared, enveloping the entire Cave Mansion, Yang Jing’s expression grew exceedingly grim. He hadn’t sensed its activation at all.

Yang Jing didn’t give up. He used Earth Escape to burrow underground, only to find that the ground was also covered by the Demon Array.

"So you’re Yang Jing. Truly a sinister schemer. To have such astonishing Body Refining Cultivation and never once reveal it."

Kuang Shuli walked out of the Cave Mansion, his eyes fixed on Yang Jing. When Yang Jing had crushed his Flying Sword, he had almost thought he was a dead man.

’How could a remote place like the Western Continent have such a terrifying Righteous Cultivator?’

"For you to swagger out of the Cave Mansion like that, this Demon Array must be quite something,"

Yang Jing said.

He waved his left hand, and a dazzling bolt of Taixiao True Thunder, taking the form of an Azure Dragon, slammed into the Demon Array.

BOOM!

The Taixiao True Thunder instantly shattered into countless arcs of electricity, and the entire Demon Array began to tremble slightly.

Seeing such an astonishingly powerful Thunder Technique, Kuang Shuli was terrified, but he forced himself to maintain a calm facade.

"Hmph, naturally. This is the Nine Nether Evil Transformation Array. I’m rather curious, how did you spot the flaw? The Lesser Yang Exorcism Talisman on my body is clearly intact."

As he spoke, he tore off the Lesser Yang Exorcism Talisman stuck to his body.

If a Celestial Demon had possessed him, this Lesser Yang Exorcism Talisman, brimming with Spiritual Mechanism, would have spontaneously combusted long ago.

"It’s simple. The master of this Cave Mansion was a Golden Core Cultivator who specialized in Spear Techniques. The odds of a Flying Sword surviving a thousand years of Demonic Qi corrosion with its Spiritual Light intact are astronomically low. Besides, when exploring a place like this, finders keepers. There was no need to rush over and show it to me."

Sensing the ever-increasing concentration of Evil Qi in the air, Yang Jing spoke unhurriedly.

In fact, after entering the Cave Mansion, he had long since used his Bright Qi Talent and Grotto Dark Dharma Eye to inspect the auras within. If there really had been a Flying Sword with its Spiritual Qi intact, it would have been impossible to hide it from his senses.

This Flying Sword was clearly brought out by the person disguised as Kuang Shuli after they entered the Cave Mansion.

"I’ve answered your question. Now, please answer one of mine. Who exactly are you people?"

Yang Jing’s eyes glowed with a Cyan Gold Light as he stared at Kuang Shuli.

’Kuang Shuli was probably replaced before we even entered the Cave Mansion. But this place is located between the defensive line and the Demon Realm. Not even a fly could have slipped past Iron Head’s round-the-clock patrols unnoticed.’

’How did he get in?’

"Me? My name is Lou Lidar. I’m merely a True Disciple of the Eastern Demon Sect. Yang Jing, you killed the youngest son of the Instantaneous Demon Venerable. There are many in the Outer Realm who want you dead."

As Lou Lidar spoke, he casually tore off the skin suit stuck to his body, revealing his true face: a young man with an effeminate air and somewhat feminine features.

With a flick of his hand, the skin suit transformed into a flawless, white human-skin garment.

"I heard from my peers in the Western Demon Sect that you are proficient in the Eye of Law Skill and that ordinary face-changing techniques can’t fool you. I went to great lengths to borrow this Tier Three Formless Illusion Demon Hide."

Yang Jing’s pupils contracted.

He wasn’t shocked by the Formless Illusion Demon Hide’s amazing Transformation Skill, but by Lou Lidar’s identity as a True Disciple of the Eastern Demon Sect.

’This person clearly came from the Demon Realm.’

’The Outer Celestial Demons and the Eastern Demon Sect went to such great lengths; there’s no way they only sent one person.’

"This hide is indeed exquisite, completely fooling my Eye of Law Skill. But what shocks me most is how you managed to set up this array so silently."

Seeing that Lou Lidar loved to show off, Yang Jing deliberately asked another question. He considered his Spiritual Sense to be sharp, yet he hadn’t detected the Nine Nether Evil Transformation Array’s formation at all.

This left him deeply shocked.

"Hehe, now that’s a secret,"

Lou Lidar said.

In the next instant, Yang Jing used Thunder Escape to abruptly appear behind him, his Celestial Waterfall Sword flashing with lightning as he slashed directly at Lou Lidar’s neck.

’The situation outside is unknown. I have to finish this person as quickly as possible and break out of this array.’

BOOM!

A python-like tree root burst from the ground at almost the same time, coiling directly around Lou Lidar.
