The Strongest Assassin Reincarnates in Another World

Chapter 386 - Sure

Chapter 386 - Sure

Aiden just looked at her and nodded. "They abandoned him because he couldn't awaken."

Emma was confused, not sure she was understanding everything correctly.

"What do you mean? Couldn't awaken, just look at you. You awakened just fine."

"I just told you, I'm not the original Aiden Nightshade of this world. I come from another world."

Emma still couldn't believe him. Even if she wanted to, it was simply too much of a shock for her to endure.

'Other worlds... just like in those trials. Does he come from one of those worlds?'

"What's the name of the world that you come from?" Emma asked, not remembering that Aiden had already mentioned it earlier.

"The Earth, a place where no one has powers. I don't think it's one of the worlds that we can go through in the trials."

Emma nodded, unsure about why Aiden was saying something like this. There shouldn't be any way for him to make sure that was the case. It was probably just guesses coming from him.

"But... all this, why are you telling me this now? After all this time? What happened to you?"

Emma had remarked over the time they had passed together that Aiden was a person with many secrets that he wouldn't reveal... ever. However, here he was telling her everything that was on his mind. Something was amiss, but she had no idea what it was.

Aiden looked at her and grabbed her by her shoulders. He wanted to make sure that he would look as serious as possible when he would be uttering the next words that would be coming out of her mouth. Enjoy new adventures from empire

"Emma... I'm just tired of hiding everything from everyone, it's getting too much for me. I wanted at least one person with whom I would be able to talk. Also... there's another reason, it's considering the meeting with the Nightshades."

Emma seemed to understand what was happening when he mentioned the meeting with the Nightshades. She slowly understood what was truly happening.

"You don't want to go since if they found out about your true identity, they would be taking you in... I get it now."

Aiden had to admit that it was quite a nice feeling not having to explain everything to Emma since she was already smart enough to understand everything on her own.

"Let's say that I was to use the [Random Portal] to leave toward who knows where... Would you follow me?"

That was the question that had been on Aiden's mind ever since he had started this discussion and he hadn't found a good time to discuss it earlier. He knew he changed the topic of discussion radically but if it could help him make a decision then he would do it without a doubt.

'Follow him? Alone?'

Emma didn't have an answer in the instant, she needed to think about it a little. She knew that by following him, there would be a lot of problems thrown her way as a result. Abandoning the Emberbane family was a very big problem after all, if Melinda were to get mad... a lot of problems would follow.

Aiden and Emma wouldn't be able to go everywhere on their own, there would obviously be some problems regarding all that stuff.

"Can you give me some time?" Emma asked.

That answer somewhat disappointed Aiden as he had expected her to jump in joy and follow him to the depths of this world. But it seemed that she needed to think if the consequences of those actions would be worth it.

"If it can help you, the system told me that it would help me get a lot stronger."

Aiden knew that it wouldn't help her that much since Emma wasn't the type to care about strength all that much. But he still said it, because he wanted her to come with him.

"What about my mom? Would I be able to see her again?"

"I have no idea. But if I were to guess, I would tell you that I will make sure that you will be able to meet her again. She also misses me a lot, don't worry."

Emma was a little reassured by that answer. It pushed her a little more in a certain direction.

'I did come here because I wanted to follow him, after all... I don't think I would be able to spend all my time here without him. At one point, it would get boring and I would want to leave the family for sure.'

Emma knew she wouldn't want to stay here without Aiden, and if he were to leave and disappear then it wasn't complicated she would simply go back to the Everheart Family where she had spent most of her time either way, with her mother and everyone that she knew about.

"Alright, if you decide to leave then I will follow you."

It hadn't taken a lot of time for Emma to decide because she knew that staying with Aiden was what she had wanted in the first place. Why not continue doing it?
